Explore Hentai in the Philippines

Things are really getting interesting as UP AME, a Japanese culture organization in UP Diliman brings to the public, "UNCENSORED: Exploring the Development of Hentai in the Philippines." The event will be on March 21, 2019 from 1 to 4 PM at Stat 303

What is the reason behind the Hentai topic?

University of the Philippines Anime Manga Enthusiasts - UP AME, a college group conducts research on Hentai in the Philippines and proceeds to present their findings in front of a live audience.

The event is part of AME's 18th year. They will be thrusting into the world of hentai. Join them us as they analyze the genre in relation to the Philippines, its history, appeal, and its effect.

Non-UP students can enter too but you need to bring an ID. The event will start at 1:00 pm.

The overwhelming number of responses was unexpected. Here are more details to the ACLE's program.

Ingress, Film Showing (PG) - 20 min
Introduction - 8 min
History of Hentai in Japan, Root - 15 min
Influence of Hentai on the West - 15 min
Hentai in the Philippines - From Rentals to the Internet - 15 min
Short interview with the audience re: hentai - 15 min
Filipino Traces in Hentai (Artists, TL groups, events) - 15 min
Final Q&A Portion - 10 min
Egress, Film Showing (PG)

There will also be a 2-3 minute question and answer portion after each segment. There will be a five (5) minute break after Segment #5 (Hentai in the Philippines), before the interview with the audience.

How to Register

Those who accomplish this pre-registration form will have a priority when it comes to seating. However, if the pre-registered person does not show up five minutes before the start of the event, the seats will be opened to walk-ins.
