June 11, 2021 (LONDON, UK)—London-based Japanese rock band Esprit D'Air releases new single, 'Glaciers' worldwide today. The new single takes a new direction as a post-rock ballad, following their upbeat and energetic releases, 'Leviathan', 'Nebulae' and their power metal cover of X JAPAN's 'Kurenai' earlier this year in contrast.

The solo artist Kai says,

“The track was approached differently to our usual work as I was musically inspired by post-rock bands Mogwai, Explosions in the Sky and Mono, as well as the early work of Japanese rock band L'Arc~en~Ciel to create a unique blend of atmosphere, heavy rock with a singalong chorus.”

'Glaciers' is mixed and mastered by Paul Visser at The Recording Studio London. The cinematic new song features a blend of both heavy and clean guitars, a choir containing 66 voices sung by lead singer Kai, drums provided by Jan-Vincent Velazco (from neo-progressive rock band Pendragon), and bass guitar by Takeshi Tokunaga (formerly of Japanese power metal band, 'Knights of Round').
