Naruto Cosplayers PH (NCPH) in cooperation with Red Cloud Events and Productions, Starland Themepark and Starmall Alabang will be hosting this years Pinoy Otaku Encore at Starland Themepark, 4th Level Starmall Alabang. The event will be highlighted by the final leg of Cosplay Idol Season 2 and the launching of Otaku Choice Awards 2014.
Otaku Encore Cosplay Idol is a unique cosplay plus talent competition started by Naruto Cosplayers PH in October 2012. It is a cosplay competition which showcases both the cosplay creativity and talent of each contestant. Last year, Bolen Lareza from Valenzuela won as the Grand Cosplay Idol. The total competitors this year will be 10, with the 6th finalist being selected during Pinoy Otaku Encore. The four remaining finalists will be selected during the Wildcard Phase to be held at Cosmic Con 2014 on May 10.
The event will also highlight the opening of nominations for Otaku Choice Award 2014. Lie Pagtalunan, now President of NCPH is the key person behind the awards concept, The nominees from for the award are based on nominations sent and gathered from the community, top ten nominees per category are then selected and the general public is asked to vote for the nominee of their choice, the nominee with the most number of votes will then be given the award. Pinoy Otaku Encore will give the chance to everyone to fill out a nomination form and select their choice for the awardees this year which includes among others Male Cosplayer, Female Cosplayer, Child Cosplayer, Japanese Band Cover Group, Host, Online Game, Console Game, Anime, and more.
Aside from Cosplay Idol Season 2 and Otaku Choice Awards there will also be a Karaoke Competition which will serve as elimination for the Asia Music Festival Karaoke Competition at Pinoy Otaku Festival.
