About the Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba Anime
The original manga was serialized in Shueisha's Weekly Shonen Jump, spanning 23 volumes and selling over 220 million copies worldwide. It was adapted into an animated series by ufotable.
The story follows the journey of Tanjiro Kamado, a young man whose family has been tragically massacred by a demon. He enlists in the Demon Slayer Corps to find a way to turn Nezuko back into a human again. The animated series began in April 2019 with the broadcast of Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba. This was followed by the film Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba – The Movie: Mugen Train in October 2020, and then by TV adaptations of the Mugen Train Arc and Entertainment District Arc in 2021 and 2022, respectively. The series kicked off the Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba -To the Swordsmith Village- World Tour in February 2023, followed by an adaptation of the Swordsmith Village Arc, which aired in April of the same year.
In February 2024, the Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba -To the Hashira Training- World Tour broke the last tour's record by playing in theaters in over 145 countries. An adaptation of the Hashira Training Arc later aired in May that year. Most recently, the first installment of the three-part theatrical finale, Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba Infinity Castle, arrived in Japanese theaters on July 18, 2025.
The series continues to captivate audiences worldwide with its gritty take on demons, spectacular fight scenes, charming characters, and witty humor.
