Announcing the Release of Paid DLC and the Free Ver. 2.0.0 Update for Pokémon Pokopia, a Relaxing Town-Building Game on Nintendo Switch 2!
The Pokémon Company (headquartered in Minato-ku, Tokyo; CEO Tsunekazu Ishihara) would like to announce the following news about Pokémon Pokopia, a title for Nintendo Switch 2.
This title is planned and co-developed by The Pokémon Company, GAME FREAK inc., and KOEI TECMO GAMES.
1. New Video Released for Pokémon Pokopia, a Title for Nintendo Switch 2!
A video has been released to announce a free update and paid DLC for Pokémon Pokopia.
2. Free Ver. 2.0.0 Update Will Be Available August 2026! New Dive Move Added!
A no-cost update (Ver. 2.0.0) will be releasing in August 2026 for everyone who owns Pokémon Pokopia to enjoy.
Newly Added Move: Dive!
You’ll be able to learn Dive, a newly added move, in the upcoming free update.
Before, Ditto couldn’t stay underwater for very long. But by using Dive, Ditto can move about freely in the water!
You can enjoy developing towns in deeper and broader ways than before in a new world expanding beneath the waves.
In order to learn Dive, you will need to complete the request “Raise the environment level!” in Bleak Beach. You will also need both the ability to jump and to know the move Surf.
3. The Pokémon Pokopia Expansion Pass Paid DLC Is Coming! Part 1: Bubbly Basin Will Be Available August 2026!
Announcing the release of the Pokémon Pokopia Expansion Pass paid DLC! You’ll be able to develop towns and enjoy a slow life with Pokémon in Pokémon Pokopia for even longer!
Part 1, Part 2, and Part 3 of the expansion pass DLC are planned for release, with Part 1: Bubbly Basin available August 2026. What’s more, you’ll be able to play the DLC with your existing Pokémon Pokopia save data. The Pokémon Pokopia Expansion Pass paid DLC will be available for purchase on Wednesday, June 10.

In order to begin the paid DLC Bubbly Basin, you will need to complete the request “Raise the environment level!” in Bleak Beach. You will also need to know the newly added move Dive included in the free update.
Part 2 and Part 3 are also planned for release. Look out for more details in the future!

4. You Can Get Dynamic Ditto Print Blocks and Wallpaper!
The Pokémon Pokopia Expansion Pass became available for purchase on Wednesday, June 10, 2026.
The following content will be available to players who have purchased it.
Dynamic Ditto print paid DLC
By purchasing the Pokémon Pokopia Expansion Pass, you can claim a recipe for crafting dynamic Ditto print blocks and wallpaper.
You can craft with this recipe in Pokémon Pokopia right away!
How to claim:
Follow these steps after purchasing the Pokémon Pokopia Expansion Pass.
1. Press the + Button while in-game to open the main menu and select Downloadable Content.
2. Select Check Items.
3. On the next screen, select Receive.
*This does not require a paid Nintendo Switch Online membership.
*You can check recipes you’ve claimed by using a workbench. It takes approximately 30 minutes of playtime to be able to use a workbench.
• You'll need to have downloaded the Ver. 1.1.0 update data for your game in order to receive the dynamic Ditto print recipe.
5. You Can Get Rare Pokémetal Ingots ×30 as a Purchase Bonus!
By purchasing the Pokémon Pokopia Expansion Pass by Tuesday, August 31, 2027, you’ll receive a code for 30 rare Pokémetal ingots that you can use at a workbench.
Note: Players who purchased a download card at a store or online shop or claimed a download code will also be eligible.

How to claim:
• Upon purchase of the expansion pass, an email with your code will be sent to the email address registered to your Nintendo Account.
• You can receive the items via the Mystery Gifts feature in game.

• These items are also obtainable through normal gameplay.
• You will need to connect your Nintendo Switch 2 system to the internet to claim this bonus.
• The user profile on your system will need to be linked to a Nintendo Account in order to connect to the internet.

• Please note that this code can be used only once. After you've used the code to claim your items, you will not be able to use the same code in another save file.
• It takes approximately 30 minutes of play time before you are able to access the Mystery Gifts menu.

6. In-game events to be regularly held in Pokémon Pokopia!
In-game events will be regularly held in Pokémon Pokopia.
Fulfilling certain requirements during these in-game events will allow you to befriend Pokémon who visit your town, obtain event-exclusive furniture and items, and more.
