Baizhu and Kaveh as New Playable Characters on Genshin Impact Version 3.6

HoYoverse has announced that Genshin Impact's Version 3.6 "A Parade of Providence" will be released on April 12. This update will include the first Akademiya Extravaganza, a new adventure-filled location in Sumeru, and the addition of two new playable characters: Baizhu and Kaveh.

Version 3.6 Story Updates

The Akademiya Extravaganza, hosted by the Sumeru Akademiya, provides guests an excellent opportunity to learn more about Teyvat's most distinguished institute and the wisdom followed by its Six Darshans. Two major events will greet players at the grand celebration: the Wisdom Gala and the Interdarshan Championship. At the Gala, booths will be set up, and six distinct mini-games will be available, each devised by one of the Six Darshans to highlight their research interests and achievements. Layla's Rtawahist Darshan, for example, adapts star research to a mini-game featuring an astrolabe, in which players operate it to make special constellations and light up the stars. Visitors to the Kshahrewar Darshan booth are presented with a hard game in which they must utilize their knowledge of technology and construction to build a road with the fewest resources possible. In the new narrative, in addition to all of the festivities, representatives from the Six Darshans will compete for the top spot at the Interdarshan Championship. During Version 3.6, Layla's Hangout Quest will also be revealed.

A new area of wastelands and an oasis has been revealed deep within the desert, far beyond the huge celebration in Sumeru City. Gray Crystals and corruptive Purple Mists have harmed this area. According to mythology, this location was a significant battleground during the Khaenri'ah cataclysm five hundred years ago. Fortunately, visitors are joined on their journey by "Pari," creatures unique to the oasis. Travelers can explore previously unattainable regions and uncover mysteries by using their ability to fly.

Meanwhile, as the domain grows larger, so do the hazards. Apep, the "Dragon of Verdure" and former ruler of ancient Sumeru, will now appear as a formidable weekly boss in the new Trounce Domain. More about the mythical dragon and Sumeru's past may be found in Nahida's Story Quest "Sapientia Oromasdis Chapter: Act II." Meanwhile, new foes have surfaced as dangers, including the new Boss Enemy "Iniquitous Baptist," the Hilichurl family's Anemo Hilichurl Rogue, and the Hydro Hilichurl Rogue.

New Playable Characters and Character Rerun

The new update will also include two new playable characters, Baizhu and Kaveh, both of whom are well-known personalities in their areas. Baizhu, the five-star Catalyst wielding, is a kind doctor with Dendro's strength, capable of driving wandering sprites and summoning a Seamless Shield to heal the squad. The "Lagenaria Chapter" of Baizhu's Story Quest will expose more anecdotes about the owner of Bubu Pharmacy.

Kaveh, a four-star Dendro Claymore wielding, is another new playable character. Kaveh, also known as the Light of Kshahrewar, is a skilled Sumeru architect. Mehrak, his architectural toolbox, will scan the battlefield and trigger all Dendro Cores, causing them to burst. This improves Kaveh's battle efficiency when dealing Dendro damage.

In Version 3.6, Nahida and Nilou will have reruns in the first half of the Event Wishes, while Baizhu and Kaveh will make their debuts, as well as Ganyu's rerun.

On April 12, Genshin Impact Version 3.6 will be released. Players can enjoy their experience on PlayStation®, PC, Android, and iOS thanks to the cross-save and cross-play features. The ESRB has rated the game T for Teen on PS5, PS4, PC, and Google Play, and 12+ on iOS.
