'The Way of the Househusband' anime Live Action on Netflix

Can't get enough of the hit comedy anime series "The Way of the Househusband (Gokushufudō)"? Well, you will be happy to know that there will be an "extra" live-action short that will be air exclusively on Netflix this August 29.

The new project titled "Gokufūdō (The Way of the Household Tools)" will be in a form of a live-action short series consisting of five 4-minute episodes. Kenjiro Tsuda, who voiced the role of Tatsu in the anime series and played the same role on the previous live-action series, is starring the short series as himself.

The Way of the Househusband Plot

"The Way of the Househusband" is probably one of the most hilarious manga, and anime that I have watched.  Each chapter or episode is very short but they bring a lot of laughter into each of them.

The Way of the Househusband follows Tatsu, an infamous and feared yakuza boss nicknamed "the Immortal Dragon", who retires from crime to become a househusband so that he can support his kyariaūman wife, Miku. The episodic series depicts a variety of comedic scenarios, typically wherein Tatsu's banal domestic work as a househusband is juxtaposed against his intimidating personality and appearance, and his frequent run-ins with former yakuza associates and rivals.

The anime adaptation of the manga was announced on October 27 during the Netflix Anime Festival 2020. The first part of the anime has premiered on Netflix on April 8 and is still available for streaming worldwide. Netflix has released 5 episodes for the first season and is available in Japanese, English and Spanish audio, with English Spanish, Chinese and Japanese subtitles.
