Movie Review Rurouni Kenshin: The Legend Ends (not yet)

Rurouni Kenshin (Samurai X): The Legend Ends seems to be the last of the trilogy for the live action stint of the anime, Rurouni Kenshin but I think it will not be the last.  I am sure that those who are avid fans of the anime knows that there is still one enemy left that could be considered for another installment of the movie.

Anyway, let us proceed to my movie review of Rurouni Kenshin: The Legend Ends.  The movie start by showing where Kenshin was picked up by his master and how he had that innate character of helping people in misery.  Later on his master wants Kenshin to find out what he lacks and that is the only solution to finally defeating Shishio Makoto.  The training and intense battle between his master and Kenshin was something that would make you glued to the screen.

Rurouni Kenshin: The Legend Ends, is a movie which compiles the epic battles in the anime series.  Although the story of Shishio based on Season 2, Episode 28-62 of the anime series is a bit different from the anime, it is still a class of its own.

Kenshin also battles Aoshi in this movie until one of them is no longer able to move.  The method of Kenshin's fighting is not only by the sword but by the heart.  The effect of the battle on Aoshi will be felt as you watch the movie till the end.

If there is one thing proven in this movie, it will be the fact that the strongest in this series is not Kenshin Himura but the villain, Shishio.  Watch the epic battle in the end as Shishio and Kenshin face each other and I dare you to tell me that I am mistaken in my observation.

Effects, soundtrack, moves, characterization and plot was a total collaboration for this movie.  It is in fact the best movie among all of the three and an epic conclusion if indeed it would be the last, however again I think it would not be the last.

Why would there be a Rurouni Kenshin Live Action Part 4?

If I am the writer and producer of the movie would I just do the live action until Season 2 of Rurouni Kenshin?  Who here remembers Reisui, the main enemy of Kenshin during Season 3?  There is very little reference, online photos and mention for Season 3 of the anime series.  Was it because it was the victim of an epic season 2?

One question though, Do you want to see Rurouni Kenshin: Tales of the Meiji in live action as well?

For now, don't miss Rurouni Kenshin: The Legend Ends on theaters nationwide.  We did enjoyed watching it and thanks to Animax Philippines.
