Cosplayers and Otakus Joins Facebook Peace Chain of PeaceTech


When the world is living in the information age and peace is a thing that truly matters, cosplayers and Otakus who like other people are affected by what's happening around the world have joined the call for peace. Members of Naruto Cosplayers PH (NCPH) and others have changed their profile photo to depict the call for peace and joins the PeaceTech Facebook Peace Chain. NCPH through the leadership of their President, Michael Jan Silva said that they will be supporting the peace advocacy. "NCPH is a cosplay group for a cause and we find PeaceTech's advocacy one of those we are willing to support," said Silva. He acts as Hokage or in the world of Naruto the overall leader of the group.





NCPH will also be sending representative to the PeaceTech Mass Videoconference 2 happening on February 1, 2011 from 1:00pm to 5:00pm at PUP Sta. Mesa. The representatives includes: Michael Jan Silva, Miggoy Catayong, Ramcis Francisco, Charmain Zao Kawatsu, Jerik Prieto and Rene C. Sy-changco Jr.

 Peacetech's 2nd Mass Videoconference will link Manila to Iligan through a 4 meg dedicated line and viewed through 17x20 feet screens! The event is gathering 2,000 high school student in Manila and at least 2,000 in Iligan. Manila students and their teachers will be coming from La Salle Taft, CSB, Ateneo, PLM, PLU, FEU, Araullo, Lakandula, Esteban Abada, and FEU-Fern. They will be meeting students live from Mindanao State University IIT, Iligan Capitol College, Iligan City East High School, Tomas Cabili and other schools within the area.

The event is entitled: “Building Understanding through Technology”. It will connect thousands of young Muslims and non-Muslims in Iligan and Manila. It will be an exciting demonstration of how we can leverage technology to build understanding.

Atom Araullo, ABS-CBN news anchor will be hosting Manila while and UN Ambassador Baicon Macaraya will be hosting the event in Iligan.
