COSPLAY EVENT: Animax Cosplay Competition - Be Epic, Be Animax!

Three categories and a whooping prize of P15,000 per category is at stake at the ANIMAX CARNIVAL COSPLAY COMPETITION on December 9, 2012 at Robinsons Manila.  You must hurry however for the registration is only from November 12 - November 16.
Please READ THE MECHANICS very carefully, seems this is a different cosplay competition format.  Those who submitted their entry will still be scrutinized by a panel of 3 judges who will choose 5 finalists from each category on November 20, 2012.  The basis for the selection will be:

• Costume (60%) – the craftsmanship and details of the costume
• Character (40%) – how well a participant portrays or presents a character

The ANIMAX CARNIVAL COSPLAY COMPETITION will have 3 categories which includes the following:

• Anime/Manga – costume design that is based on a popular anime or manga character
• Games/Film – costume design that is based on a computer or an online game or movie
• Original design – costume design that is originally created for a cosplay

During the Animax Carnival on December 9, 2012, the five finalist per category will go on stage to ramp their cosplay and impress the judges during a 1-minute performance time.  5 judges will then judge them according to a new set of criteria which arE:

• Costume (50%) – the craftsmanship and details of the costume
• Character (30%) – how well a finalist portrays or presents a character
• Audience Impact (20%) – how enthusiastic the audience responds to the performance
