As a blogger and writer, I am proud to be part of the Naruto Cosplayers PH family. "A Happy Green New Year," was the first ever Cosplay event for 2011 and the result of the planning and support of everyone from NCPH. As a family all deserves to be credited including cosplay groups like Cosplay Network Philippines, HTP: Team Sunna and HTP: Master Pogi, Bulacan Cosplay Mania, Pampanga Cosplay Alliance, Team KG and Project 8. This only proves that with unity and dedication a successful event can be launched.

There are things to improve and the event is not perfect. There are some hiccups in the technical side like the music, well we are innovating and take note this event incorporates the youngest ever cosplay technical team, John Dwight D'Angelo, 12 years old and Yeyence Montes, 15 years old.

"A Happy Green New Year" is also the first ever cosplay event which recognized Cosplay groups as a vital partner in every event. They are commonly neglected since groups compete among one another but the fact is they deserve recognition and they uplift the level of cosplaying. For the first time banners of other groups are allowed to be place on stage in order to inspire unity. We should be united since as cosplayers we too are agents of peace and harmony.

It was also dubbed as the largest Cosplay event to be held in Sm City Marilao and in Bulacan to this date. More than 150 cosplayers attended the event and around 273 people contributed to the cause of supporting a plastic-free shopping and donating for an environmental fund. Time Zone and Cyber-I Internet Kiosk also supported the event by providing GC for the raffle during the event.

The judges for the competition are also quality judges like Mike Abundo, Ayumi, Nash Anggahan, Enzo Luna, Romeo Encisa Jr., Jon Carmelo Manalang and Cherrie Mae de Ocampo. These people are experts in cosplaying and know what they are seeing and doing.
